lyrics
How long is a month?
hours, minutes, by the ton
some 30 solo nights
where low 'n high tides,
Take turns, as she pulls.
Hanging on, beyond the sky.
And I'm trying.
Can you see her, at large
My lonesome solution
Wherever you are
In lesser light pollution
How big is the moon?
How heavy her heart,
When she thinks of me,
Or am I guilty of wishful thinking,
Anything, to get me through,
this waiting game, waiting on you
While she keeps on hanging on
her crater-filled body, oh
Can you see her, at large
My lonesome solution
Wherever you are
In lesser light pollution
How long is a month?
Some 30 solo nights,
until a new moon sheds her light,
She's out of my reach,
She's out of my sight,
invisible in the blue,
But I cannot hide,
How much I miss you,
How much I miss you,
how much,
how long, how heavy, how big
Can you see her
Can you see her

Like so many others, this came like a bolt out of the blue and, even though it's well before payday, I had to have this astonishing album on vinyl to prove it exists. The feel of the tunes makes me feel like the Impressions do, Curtis Mayfield, the big spaces and instinctive horns and stuff drifting in and out. Great grooves and I can see lots of ghosts nodding along to this with big smiles on their faces. At last! Anthony Cottrell

I haven't heard anything as just completely perfectly formed out of the gate--every decision the right one, what to include but more what to exclude--maybe ever. Don't know who Sault is, but they do not sound like they could be anyone who hasn't paid some dues to get this good. Or signed some Satanic contracts. 100% confidence, and it sounds 110% earned.
